Atlas LT for Forward Observer (FO)

The Azimuth ATLAS LT Target Acquisition System meets the requirement for forward observer equipment for target acquisition and artillery fire coordination. ATLAS LT assures accurate and efficient target acquisition and ranging in the shortest possible time, and is compatible with any artillery doctrine.

  ATLAS LT is carried in a single backpack and carries out all of the functions required by a forward observer - the measurement of range, azimuth, and elevation to a target and the calculation of target coordinates. The system incorporates multiple north finding and own-location determination methods as well as artillery ranging and fire correction functions.
